It is in our struggles we discover ourselves and know ourselves better. Thank you Kris for living the life you were born to live. Your life and dreams allows me to dream and find my purpose as well. I wasn't living like I meant it until after I was blessed with a son. How precious our lives are...we are gifts to eachtother. I have had a blank board hanging in my bedroom fortwo years intending to DREAM. I happened to check out your website this evening after talking about your story with my mother who was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I caught your documentary on TLC years ago by chance. My son was playing with his new glittery sparkle markers getting the sparkles all over his hands seconds before I found this website. I think I will trace his hands with the sparkle marker in the middle of my dream board and dream more dreams. I hope to connect with you more in the future since I want to know my greatness too...

Sometimes reinventing the wheel is a good thing. I remember my grandmother "Treasure-Mapping" (She was a Religious Science practitioner from way back) when I was a teenager. Before she died, she presented me with Mary Katherine MacDougal's book, What Treasure Mapping Can Do for You, published in1968. It was written from original Science of the Mind practices.
I love that it's come back.

I just happened upon this blog while cruisn' the site. As I am working on my own site and blog --and attempting to build a dream that has been in my heart since my own cancer diagnosis 5 years ago, this could not have come at a better time. And at the start of 2011 no less. Thank you for your words and for being who you are, Kris. You came into my life 5 years ago and I always new this was a special powerful connection - Now I see just how spectacular it is to trust and believe.
Warm love, light, and hugs...

Hello There Kris!
I, too am a very big fan and supporter of vision boards. A lot of people may just shrug it off as something baloney, but it's powers is true. I don't want to bore your viewers with my long story. But, if you just believe in your dreams and make a dream board to remind you everyday of your goal and add to that a generous sprinkle of affirmations and you will surely manifest your dreams.
To you people out there, you gotta try making your own dream board. It does not cost much and you won't lose too much in making one, but the rewards will really be huge.

I read these wonderful positive posts regarding the successes of the vision board but what I don't see is "how long" did each of your visions/goals/dreams take to come to fruition or pan out the way you want it to exactly on your vision board. I'm very apprehensive of trying to make one of these vision board for fear that my dreams big or small will not pan out or it just will take months even years for anything to manifest for me.

Plus are there affirmations, mantras, chants to reinforce this vision board to work faster??? Read the secret but it didn't resonate with me as to giving a method or a sure fire formula for this vision board to work well.

I get excited reading about all these sucesses other folks have in a short amount of days, weeks or months but how lucky do I need to be to manifest my desires no matter how hard I work toward my goals, for example been looking for a job for 2 years NO LUCK as of yet, doing everything humanly possible to find a job..so far not one ounce of luck :(

Any comments/reply backs deeply appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Kris (and anyone who uses vision boards):

I have two questions regarding vision boards, and I'd love your input. Well, first, let me introduce myself: I am a single female (recently turned 30 years old), and I am floundering a bit on many levels, from professional to personal. SO, I am open to new approaches to living and considering a vision board.

Back to my questions: 1) I understand Kris' urging to keep your vision board in a visible place and to not be ashamed. It makes sense that the power of a vision board would be directly related to how visible it is; HOWEVER, I am single and live with two roommates. I don't want to share my heartfelt desires with random friends of my roommates who might walk into my room OR a man I have just begun dating. Has anyone felt self-conscious about posting their vision board? How did you resolve this issue?

2) My second question relates to the issue of dating. A major life goal of mine is marriage and children. Should that be on my marriage board? It feels very adolescent. I have friends who have saved clippings from wedding planning magazines since we were teenagers. I always thought that was silly: to take the time to seriously consider what shape diamond you wanted before you had even meet a prospective groom. At this point, I must admit I also feel very unlucky in love, so I feel like such "planning" might jinx it. Lastly, I'd be embarrassed for someone else--especially a date--to see it. Am I thinking about this in the wrong way? Should I put images of marriages/weddings/pregnancy on my vision board?

Thanks for any advice!

All the best to you Kris!

How groovy! I am a huge fan of vision boards, and I really adore this whole site, which I discovered only because within the space of two weeks, two very plugged-in people (Alexandra Jaye and Kristin Morelli) told me I HAD to check it out. Can't wait to share it with our readers! We have done a lot on vision boards in Experience Life magazine (which I personally find to be an outstanding source of vision-board clipping material :)), so if anyone is looking for a good set of how-to resources and some examples, here's a link to some visioning stuff we pulled together:

Wow this is so amazing that you got to meet Oprah after visualising and focusing on your vision board! That has got to be one of the best testimonials yet!

She too is on my vision board and I still don't know how its going to happen, only that it will =)

I love the idea of vision boards so much because we can really focus on what we want and what is important to us. There is nothing better than being able to achieve things in real life that you first visualised on your vision board.

I make sure to look at my board everyday in the morning and I pair this up with watching my digital vision board also known as Mind Movies. Having a digital version as well, helps to evoke those feelings and really draws you into making you feel like you already have what it is that you want!

I love them both and I think they are so effective! Thanks for sharing your amazing personal story =)
