Monthly Recipe Contest

Aho Angel Wing!
Ya know what I love about my job (besides everything), I get HOT schwag. Glorious people send me samples. Thank you glorious people! From cookbooks to raw snacks, yoga mats, to journals and healing aromatherapy oils, the goodies come and we squeal. Well, since I’m always trying to find fun ways to keep you motivated on your path to vibrant health, I want to pay it forward and give these goodies to YOU! Enter the recipe contest.
Here’s how it works:
Send your favorite original raw or cooked VEGAN recipe to info@crazysexylife.com
Our little staff will get busy in the kitchen, we’ll make your masterpiece, eat your masterpiece and then vote on your masterpiece. The winning recipes will be posted on the site and you’ll get a HOT present! Who doesn’t love presents? Hey, if you send something uber yummy I’ll include it in my next book, “Crazy Sexy You: A Gutsy Game Plan for Health, Happiness and a Great Ass” (new working title).
I’m particularly interested in wheat-free/gluten-free creations of late. I don’t know about you, but I feel a huge difference when I avoid that stuffy stuff. Did ya know that you can test whether or not you’re gluten sensitive? Yes in deed, it’s a celiac blood test. I did it, came back negative and yet my colon seems to speak a higher truth. “Stay away”.
So magic chefs, get cookin’ or un-cookin! Make it easy, make it fun. Too many bells and whistles and kitchen equipment will probably make me tired. I’m a basic girl cause, like you, I’m busy!
Recent recipes I love…
Breakfast: Quinoa, with bit of almond milk, a scoop of almond butter, a drizzle of agave and a pinch of sea salt. You can either cook or sprout the quinoa. Of course, drink your green juice first! And for those of you practicing food combining – take digestive enzymes with this morning yummy.

Down & dirty raw soup: A pack of “Just Peas”, 2 celery stalks, garlic, Sea Salt, 1/2 an avocado – dash of pepper, water. Blend on high for 2 minutes. YUM!!!! This is a great soup for coming off a fast. Try any of these dehydrated wonders or make your own. Also, bring these treats to the movies – they’re like popcorn (sorta)!
Peace & kitchen kreativity,
Kris

Oh man! I love the new working title and I hope it turns into the new final title. Somethin’ about the word “ass” in a book title just makes me wanna run out and buy it. xo Lori
Casey-That recipe sounds amazing! Can’t wait to try everyone’s recipes this weekend:)
Don’t trust the celic blood test…after over 20 years of mysterious health problems and repeated negative blood tests, the genetic test and stool test revealed full blown celiac…do the test at http://www.enterolab. com (no connection). Found that I have one celiac and one gluten sensitivity gene and that both of my parents had at least one gene and all of my children will have at least one gene. This genetics stuff is fascinating! So gluten free for me for one year now, and feeling SO much better.
Yay! I’ve been waiting for a raw recipe contest. Thanx to a friend telling me about it, I am eager to send my recipe in:)
Fun idea with the recipe contest!!!
I have also just done a celic blood test that came out negative, yet I know that I am gluten intolerant as I feel so much better if I do not eat gluten and as soon as I eat it I get several sympthoms as headace, muscle pain, bloated belly, diarrhea, and my throut swallows. I read an article about the Celiac Test that said that about 90% of the tests comes out negative even if you have sympthoms and that you have to eat loads of Gluten every day for about 2 weeks before the test in order for you body to produce the antibodies that will show on the test. I have been gluten free for 1 month now :)
Kris,
I get so much juicy inspiration and motivation and love from reading your blog. You’re awesome!!!
Thanks and HUGS!

Excellent, gluten free granola and crackers. I came about them while in Denver on an overnight. They’re wonderful!
