Goddess Group – The word of the day is “Create”..

Hey Slinky Fasters!
Michael, the very tall and handsome nurse man, wheeled my gurney into the operating room. Port time. I thought I’d be totally freaked. As a precaution I wore waterproof mascara to the surgery. As another precaution I downloaded a bunch of Louise Hay and stocked my ipod with affirmations.
My goal was to create a positive atmosphere no matter how chaotic the world around me felt. As I relaxed deeper into meditation my fears lifted – slightly. I saw my surgeon smiling. I heard her discuss how easy it was to install my port. Next I imagined how much better I would feel after my vehicle for perfect health was installed. Ahhh…. Trust feels so good.
Why do I constantly forget that these tools are there for me everyday? Why do I let my delicious affirmations get dusty? Sometimes I allow and even encourage my mind to distort. Conjuring positive healing thoughts feels like a bullshit burden – one more thing “TO DO” on the master “get healthy” list. Gotta juice, meditate, do yoga, affirmations, journal, make healthy food, raise my heart rate, be grateful, hug a tree, recycle, save the planet etc etc… Oh, and work too. Yeah, that. A pay check. Ugh! Who on this path has time for a pay check?! Tough shit. Insurance doesn’t pay for this stuff so the hustle is a must. Please change that Prez Obama. Please…Oops, I was about to go down a very large rabbit hole rant. Another time.
I choose whether all this stuff is a drag or a lift.
Today is day 16 on the fast and I intend to “Let go, Let God”. I will cease and desist all sneaky plans to cheat. I promise!
Let’s sip our green drinks from wine glasses today and toast our beautiful lives – as they are right here, right now, today. If you’re not fasting how about joining us by committing to a healthy eating day. Crank up the volume on the veggies!
I’m gonna hang with Louise again this afternoon. Perhaps she’ll continue renovating my mind. Hope you join us. Don Miguel Ruiz might stop by too. “The Four Agreements” are a must for anyone interested in being totally awesome.
What do you want to create in your life? A nurturing nest, perfect health, spiritual wealth, happiness, moolah, mate? Whatever it is see it, feel it. You are so frickin’ cool and gorgeous that it hurts to look into your sun. Happy fasting!
*Please check the previous Goddess Group blogs for juice recipes and fasting details.
Peace & Louise,
Kris

It always “hurts to look into your sun”:) Thanks for that beautiful image. I am going to carry it with me through my day.

Again, another great blog! My thoughts are will all who are in need. I’m in a crisis right now, and the phrase “Let go and let God” really helped, it will be my mantra today…..positive energy sent your way Kris – you radiate it to all of us!
Can’t wait to hear that rabbit hole rant. When you’re ready.
I am hoping that Obama pulls through too. I am envisioning a day when this is all “standard of care” and nutritionists are our primary care physicians.
“CREATE” = to begin with nothing and end with something? For me, this means I will create a new perspective on my life, the world around me, God, etc. How? By loving. Simple enough. Love has so much power and I choose to unleash it! Go Green Goddess Group – I’ve been juicing, walking and doing yoga. Congrats on the port o brave one! You’ll be glad you did it and you only have a few days left to fast!!! Sending my LOVE to ya today =)

Well done Kris! And thanks for the inspiration as always!
Hi Kris: Am still reading you every day! You continue to be absolutely amazing! And I happen to now for a personal fact that you’re inspiring people around the world. LOVE your new site and blog!
You are awesome. Your sun rays are reaching all corners of this universe. Shine on goddess….
I always wonder about the class issues that surround what you do. Not everybody hangs out w. L. Hay or can even afford to download a bunch of her stuff. Take Jivamukti, for instance. I live in NYC and I heart my Jivamukti practice. Sadly, I really can’t afford a consistent practice when yoga costs $20/class. You are pushing this way of life that sadly, only a privileged few can afford.
Karna: You can get books and tapes at garage sales and thrift stores.. Kris just gives us info, how you use it is your call.. it does not have to be expensive to be healthy! Walking is free and it is wonderful for you.

Karna, I know it’s really frustrating. Not everyone can afford a healthy lifestyle and that is a huge crime. It costs dearly to stay vibrant. It’s cheap to get sick. Our country is backwards. But as Debbie said, there are lots of ways to do it. And when I said hanging out with Louise Hay – I meant on my ipod. Not with her actually. As for Jivamukti, yes it is expensive but they have great CD’s and DVD’s that keep my practice strong. You can get a lot of the great books and I recommend used on amazon. But, I do understand what you are talking about. The lifestyle I “push” centers on getting back to our true nature, it should be free! Meditation certainly doesn’t cost. As for the raw organic foods, that’s another story. CSA’s, Farmer’s markets, choosing organic over conventional for the 12 most sprayed etc, all this helps but it will never compete with fast foods. I try to rationalized my weekly grocery bill by remembering that my medicine cabinet is empty. I used to spend a lot of over the counter stuff. My job is to raise the awareness but there’s only so much I can do about the wallet issues. I hear your frustration loud and clear.
Hi Kris,
I look forward to a post from you about your request to President Obama. Don’t you like the sound of that? President Obama! In my mind, he has accomplished quite a bit in a very short time. Let’s pray that Healthcare is a priority and that homeopathic dr’s, naturopaths, accupressure, etc. are on the list of items that should be covered by our (not so beloved–but there is hope) insurance companies!
The important thing is that you are right where you should be in getting better and healing. You need to continue your path despite the words of tne naysayers. I’ve thought some about the comments I’ve read here, for instance: “don’t fix what ain’t broke” and I’ve come to the conclusion that I disagree with that comment. We all need to do everything in our power to make certain our illness(es) do not get worse. I have also bought the Jivamukti Yoga CD and I love it, relatively inexpensive: amazon.com sells “used” (good condition) copies, and it is the best Yoga CD that I have experienced. If anyone has a bit of “hippie” in their psyche, they will totally understand what I mean. Agreed, meditation is free and their are Monasteries all over the country who offer free opportunities to do this without it costing a bit. As long as you don’t mind chipping in and doing some work–maybe in the garden, or the kitchen, you can then meditate for hours with the monks and “get” the benefits of the meditation. I’m going to one in April for a weekend, and it won’t cost a thing. This in preparation fo their Introduction to Zen weekend which is the following week and will cost each person $200. My cost? $0, because I’m going to help them prepare for the next weekend. And I will eat healthfully, have a pillow to lay my head on and have the wonderful experience of meditation…the sounds of the birds calling while practicing Zazen at dawn is truly amazing…
In this hectic world, I’m off for an hour and a half commute to the city, (both ways)…it is very sometimes extremely hard to get back to our true nature–but not impossible.
Well that’s my truth for this morning.
Peace.
sorry about the spelling, (their, there), it’s way early in the morning!
i am going to see the comedienne Kathy Griffin tonight in the city, and off tomorrow…look forward to sleeping until at least 6:30 am! It’s the small things that make us happy…
Thank you so much for that post! I needed a kick in the pants as I’ve been feeling tired and resentful of such a restricted diet and restricted everything else. I have Louise on my ipod too, but haven’t been listening lately. You are such an inspiration–thanks for the efforts!
Hi Kris,
I have noticed while reading your posts that you mention five different green supplements and I would like to know if you take all of them daily? Those supplements include: 1. Vitamineral Green, 2. E3Live, 3. Marine Phytoplankton, 4. Chlorella, 5. Spirulina. Also, which Marine Phytoplankton do you take: I googled it and came out with several different companies so I am not sure which one are you using? Do you add it to your smoothies or just take it with water or juice?
Thanks very much for your help!
Mary
Hey Kris.. happy port. I hope it all is going great. It has to be easier. And letting go allows the universe to deliver its marvolous UPS packages from GSN (God/Goddess shopping network) all is free for the ordering just remember to order.
Karna I know on the surface this lifestyle can look so expensive and intimidating but there are so many tips and ways around it. First on th forum there is a sight to exchange books and downloads that people payfor and that way you save. Find a bunch of friends and hit the farmers market and share, and with the YOGA if you really need a class and not a book or tape from the libray. Go and talk to your neighborhood Yoginni I bet you will find someone that will let you swap some book work or clean up skills for some classes without money being the issue as long as it is private and they can keep charging and making a living. I pray it all falls into place for you. It is hard at first. One step at a time. I was freaked but.. when I changed my meat and potatoes for rich greens it cost me less once I learned how to save them. I got some trick.. come and visit my page and we can talk. I know everyone here has felt the same way at one time or today. ha.
OK.. lovely woman. I am loving this getting to read your blog everyday. Love it. It feels like the first home only super turbo charged. Now Say a little prayer for me. I am off to buy a car. Hopefully one that is good to mother earth. Hugs. Callie
oh, thank you for this entry. I wish I read it before I had my port placed last Tuesday (-: … but I needed a reminder today to create a positive atmosphere. This is in my power.

Hope your procedure went well & you are experiencing an eazy peazy, smooth recovery! Your veins are goin, “YAY, she did it! Woohoo!”
