Goddess Group

Pumpkin,

Who’s ready to fast today? I don’t know about you, but I’ve been AWOL from our Wednesday fast group. My 21 day fast wore me out! Five weeks later, I’m ready to dive back in – ONE day of purification, now that I can definitely handle!

I pulled an angel card for us ALL to prep for the liquid task.

SERENITY…

You are moving into a time of greater inner peace and tranquility. Peace of mind means feeling secure, and knowing that you’re always provided for. Even if your logical mind can’t fathom how a problem will be solved, peace of mind means that you trust that God (or Budddha or Elvis) will create a miraculous solution. This sort of faith is always warranted because faith is a key component in experiencing such miracles. By drawing this card, the angels reassure you that peace of mind is within you. You can feel serene, even in the midst of great turmoil. It’s a mistake to think that you have to wait until your life is problem free before you can be happy and peaceful. The opposite is true actually. First you work towards serenity and then your life challenges disappear. Serenity is your natural state of mind, and the angels are working with you to actualize this.

I LOVE the angels! SERENITY, yes please, I’ll take two. I can especially relate to the waiting til you’re problem free to get groovy and grab the balls of life part. Yes, it’s my mission to YAHOO but sometimes my dumpy ego and fear bucket weigh me down. Well, there’s no better way to sucker punch the junk than to fast with purpose. Can you fast for spiritual clarity? ABSOLUTELY! Remember gutsy Gandhi? Now he was SEXY. Crazy Sexy Gandhi… :)

Join me. Press restart on your soul trip. Do mantra, pick your own angel card, read an inspirational passage or go for a walk. Goddess loves to see you in the trees.

Here’s a little reminder of what I’ll be consuming today…

3-4 quarts of organic veggie juice.
Keep it green so you get clean!
Cukes, celery, dandelion, kale, romaine, spinach, chard – lemon or pear or green apple add a bit of sweetness.
You don’t have to add all those things, any combo will do.

If you decide to break your fast at dinner, try a blended soup. Keep it green and add avocado for creamy yum and good fat. Garlic too! Anti-bacterial, immune support. If you feel light headed add a little sea salt to your juice. 1/4-1/2 tsp should pick ya up.

Have fun removing your own personal Darth Vader!

Let us know how you’re doing. Share your recipes and tips here.

Peace & veggies,
Kris

PS. You don’t have to participate in the fast to get clean and clear – just make better choices today. Fasting from the status quo, the quick fix, easy way will do just fine.

PPS. We’re getting sooo many great recipes for our contest! I have to stop reading them or I’ll be salivating by noon. Keep sending! xo

I’m joining you today. Two quick tips from hot off the Hippocrates trail — see if you can round up and add a couple of fistfulls of green sprouts to your juice mix to kick up the protein and enyme content. The morning after the juice fast is a great weekly time to cleanse the colon of all those toxins. I am making it my new Thursday morning habit.
Kris, I passed along your love and greetings to Ken (if only I could bring him home to “cook” for me and Dr. Anna-Maria and Lynn (I think that’s her name– the one who did my very first colonic ) all send their very best wishes. They all adore you! More later,
Sheila

Serenity…now there’s a challenge for me! I promise to work on letting go and letting God give me this. Cleanse for me today must involve a little chewing – tooooo much going on to fast! But I WILL stay green and clean. Ya babe, you were missed here, now hop on over to the Fit Club & re-join the fun!!! (Unless of course you and Edward had a tiff! Still dizzy?)
Love your greeny ways my friend!!

Yes! I’m so excited for fasting today and serenity in knowing that we want our inside to look as good as the outside! Question: Is it not good to drink green juices after eating solid food? on non-fasting days?

Not fasting, but still strong on the green juice!! It’s great!

Sade: You want to drink your juice first and then wait about 1/2 hour before you eat. Liquids with meals disrupt digestive enzymes.

I have to fast today..water only. So far, at 3:30, I’m just crabby :D.

Thanks for the inspirational blog post, helps to keep me going. This is my 4th or 5th green goddess juice fast wednesday and I love them, the blog posts too especially help me to feel connected and part of the CSC community.love wonderful serenity and green juice to all
Grace xxxx

Hey love.. I am fasting with you. You could never know how much I think your typing the words from your angel card helped me today. Duncan is very sick and I had to make a quick call to either go with the old and not working or reach out to the new and pray for the best. My serenity was shot to hell.. but I am not transporting him five hours away in ambulance when I think I have found help. So I printed those words and took them with me to the hospital and here we sit.. they are crumpled by now so many readings today. I had to leave Saatchi the security blanket pup at canyon ranch for dogs.. she was happy but MOM not so much. Thanks for the words of peace. I needed them. Much love. happy fasting and I am adding the colon cleanse on thursdays starting next week. hugs and peace and serenity NOW.. for us all. Callie

Awesome! I love your wit & talent! *HUGS* Peace, Love & Light

Dear Kris,
I’m adopting this as my new “serenity prayer” and entrusting my life to the angels. They do always seem come through, don’t they? And they do a much better job than my anxious, stubborn brain. Your post came at an apropos time. You’re an outstanding soul. Thanks for gracing us with your inspiring spirit, stellar writing, and delicious, green wit. Happy fasting!
Sending mountains and sunshine from New Mexico,
Love and green chiles,
Kate

Oooh, I do love your sassy spirit… just can’t get enough of you, gorgeous Kris.

Go Green,
Kristen

Can’t get enough of you also… I’m a day after you but better than not fasting at all. I’m fasting today instead. love to you, xoxo

I love your blog! Found you through Kristen’s Raw, whom I adore. I haven’t read your book yet but I intend to. Just a mention tho, I cannot read your blog when I am in Saudi Arabia (where I live most of the time) as it has the word ‘sex’ in it. BLOCKED…can you believe….?????

Anyway I will read when I am travelling instead :D

I’m on board. This week, I spent the day away from home without being equipped. Watch out for next week! Thanks for the encouragement.

Just whipped up this DELICIOUS SMOOTHIE recipe. It has a gorgeous, vibrant color mix of yellow with green flecks.

I know how you like getting your broccoli into your day… here is a wonderful and easy way:

Lively Breakfast Smoothie
By KristensRaw.com

1 cup water
1 heaping cup broccoli florets
2 cups yellow bell pepper
1 banana

Blend it up and drink it down. :)
