Rusty and I and a handfull of friends from Ann Arbor first broke ground on Armstead Mt. around 1971 on the farm you describe. Lots of great memories. I’d love to hear from Rusty again. Great guy!

Thanks so much for capturing the beauty of Rusty and Sue. They are such an inspiration, and I hope this story will shine on others the way it did for me. Mmmm….and my mouth is watering thinking about Rusty and Sue’s potatoes, tomoatoes, carrots, and greens…..gosh I miss those goodies!

Nice! I enjoy Whole Foods, but try to go to the local co-op to buy my produce…to support local farmers and reduce the carbon footprint on my groceries!

Having known the Nuffers for over 30 years (WOW, has it been THAT long?) I can testify to their dedication and total devotion not only to their organic enterprise, but to a lifestyle of being greatful and careful stewards of the earth. They are inspirational to all who encounter them. I am always excited when I have an opportunity to visit the farm and delighted when I get to enjoy their bounty! Hey Sadie, nice to hear from you! Lot of years since the Jobes Fun Train rolled through down there – writing this has lit a fire under my arse to make a trip.

I have grown up near the Nuffers and am best friends with their kids. They are second parents to me. So, I know their lives from the inside and have seen many people try to bring it to light.
